Give The Gift Of Fun To Our Community This Christmas

Kingthing’s Christmas Toy Drive for St. Giles Toy Library

Everyone should have access to fun, and what better way to give this Christmas than helping local kids get outdoors, play, and stay active? It’s a tricky economic time for many in our community, and we don’t think anyone should miss out on having fun outside over the Christmas holidays, everyone should have access to affordable play. That’s why we’re running a Christmas Toy Drive to refresh the St. Giles Toy Library in Launceston!

How You Can Help

We’re asking the community to donate outdoor toys. Think sports equipment, outdoor games, space hoppers, bikes – anything that gets kids moving and enjoying nature. Your donation doesn’t just provide a fun day; it helps nurture healthier, happier kids right here in Northern Tasmania.

What is the St. Giles Toy Library?

Anyone in the Northern Tasmanian community can access St.Giles Toy Library, which has books, puzzles, games, and toys. It’s only $15 per year to access the toy library, and each child can borrow 4 items for up to three weeks at a time.

Outdoors Matters

Breathing in the fresh Tassie air, running around, and playing outdoors isn’t just fun – it’s essential for children’s health and development. Getting your blood pumping can spark creativity and give you a mental health boost - which we all need after Tassie winters. Outdoor play helps kids grow, learn, and thrive. Let’s get them out in nature with the right tools – toys that inspire exploration and imagination!

It’s a small act of kindness that will make a huge difference in their lives – and in our community. We really appreciate any help you can give.
